Squirrel Learning Limited (“We”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy sets out the basis for any personal data we collect or that you provide to us which is processed by us.For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 2018 (the “Act”) and the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the Data Controller is Squirrel Learning Limited, Dunston Business Village, Dunston, Staffordshire, ST18 9AB. Children are identified as under 13 years of age with regard to GDPR, therefore all data for children is collected from schools in line with their GDPR and Privacy Policy.
Why we collect and use this information
Any personal data we collect for children and adults is only necessary for Squirrel Learning Limited to complete our programmes and activities effectively.
Collecting Information
We obtain information about schools, staff and children directly from schools and organisations who have requested our services, to enable us to deliver our programmes. In some circumstances, we may also collect information directly from adults.

How We Store Your Personal Data
We hold all our data securely. All paper documents are stored in locked cabinets at our registered office and are not removed off-site. All electronic data is held securely within cloud storage, and all staff laptops (whilst not holding personal data) are password protected and encrypted.
We do not permit the use of external hard-drives, memory sticks or other devices for storing personal data.
Registers
Paper registers may be used to collect child specific information from school. These are only used where the programmes require attendance data to be retained. Where this is the case, the registers are returned to the locked filing cabinet within the Squirrel Learning office immediately following the session. Schools will be notified in advance of any programmes when registers are required to be kept.
All registers, together with any other personal data, will be securely destroyed as follows:

Other Data Collected
Adult information, for training and accreditation purposes, is collected on a paper register by Squirrel Learning Education Consultants. At the end of the training it is stored in locked cabinets in the Squirrel Learning Limited office. School contact details, for the purposes of training requirements. are held electronically within our cloud storage. Schools complete an Order Form prior to the commencement of a programme, service, course, etc. requesting email contact and name of participants. This is completed by a representative from the school and returned to Squirrel Learning Limited.
All registers and order forms, together with any other personal data, will be securely destroyed as follows:

Sharing Information
We do not routinely share any data we collect. We would only share data if you had given your permission.
Requesting Access to Your Personal Data
The GDPR gives you the right to access information held about you. You also have the right to request that this data is deleted at any time.

The Squirrel Learning website is based on a hosting and content management system from a company called Squarespace. The Squarespace system drops a single tracking cookie onto your computer, tablet or phone to determine if you are a unique website visitor.
