Accessibility statement
Last updated 27 September 2026
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or speech recognition.
What we’ve done
- The site is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
- Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast, and text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content.
- Everything works with a keyboard, focus is always visible, and there’s a “Skip to content” link.
- Images have text descriptions, and pages use proper headings and landmarks.
- Animations are turned off if you’ve asked your device to reduce motion.
- The layout adapts to phones, tablets and desktops.
Known limitations
- Screenshots of BoomReader, BoomWriter and school websites are pictures of those products. Each one has a description, but the detail inside the screenshots isn’t readable by screen readers.
- The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. It normally runs invisibly, but in rare cases it may ask you to confirm you’re human.
- Links to BoomReader, BoomWriter and school websites go to separate sites, which have their own accessibility statements.
