Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information we collect through squirrellearning.com (and our other addresses, squirrellearning.co.uk and squirrellearning.net, which redirect to it), why we collect it and what we do with it. It covers this website only. BoomReader and BoomWriter have their own privacy notices, which you can find in the key documents.

Who we are

Squirrel Learning Limited is the data controller for this website. We are registered in England and Wales (company number 11365884), and our registered office is West Midlands House, Gipsy Lane, Willenhall, WV13 2HA.

What we collect

When you use our contact form we collect your name, your email address, your school or organisation (if you give it), the topic you choose and your message. We also receive the information needed to check the form isn’t being used by spam bots.

We don’t use tracking or advertising cookies, and we don’t build profiles of visitors.

How we use it and why

We use what you send us only to reply to your enquiry and deal with any follow-up. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. Where your enquiry is about a service we already provide to your school, it may also be necessary for that contract.

Messages about school websites go to our websites team; all other messages go to our BoomReader and BoomWriter support team.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information or share it for marketing. We use a small number of service providers to run the website, who act on our instructions:

• Cloudflare hosts the website, protects it from attacks and provides the spam check on the contact form.
• Resend delivers contact form messages to our inbox by email.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards required by UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up, and delete them after two years unless there’s an ongoing reason to keep them.

Analytics

We measure visitor numbers with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify individual visitors.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. You can also object to how we use it. To make a request, email support@boomhub.app or write to us at our registered office.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
